The Dery Lab at Bar-Ilan University is currently accepting new members. Graduate students and postdoctoral researchers in our group gain expertise at the intersection of heterogeneous catalysis, inorganic chemistry, and advanced spectroscopy. Our work combines tailored materials synthesis with cutting-edge characterization methods, including vibrational nanospectroscopies (AFM-IR, s-SNOM, TERS), solid-state and NMR spectroscopy, as well as in situ/operando spectroscopy. Computational modeling (mainly DFT) is integrated into our research to provide electronic-structure insights and connect molecular-scale phenomena with catalytic performance. Members will be exposed to a highly interdisciplinary environment, bridging chemistry, materials science, and catalysis, with opportunities for collaboration both within Bar-Ilan and with international partners.
